The International Club of Art Portrait (ICAP) was founded in 2024.
The Club’s activities are focused on advancing contemporary art photography, fostering international cooperation, and supporting the professional development of photographers.
ICAP is deliberately independent of any single photographic organization. Its mission is to provide its members with objective and comprehensive information about the major international photographic organizations and institutions operating today.
The Club brings photographers together through exhibitions, festivals, competitions, masterclasses, educational webinars, and regular meetings with the leaders and representatives of the world’s leading photographic organizations.
Today, ICAP unites more than 200 active members from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Finland, Armenia, Spain, India, and Estonia. Its members include professional photographers and certified judges who have received numerous awards, photographic distinctions, and international titles. The work of the Club’s most prominent authors can be viewed in the Hall of Fame section of the website.
In 2026, ICAP, in cooperation with the Global Photographic Union (GPU), is opening an Exhibition Centre for Photography in Russia. The Centre will serve as a venue for international photography exhibitions featuring both Russian and international authors. This innovative initiative offers an exceptional opportunity to bring together the global photographic community, encouraging innovation, creativity, and cultural exchange on an unprecedented scale.
The International Club of Art Portrait has received numerous international awards and club trophies in recognition of its outstanding artistic achievements and active participation in international photographic salons.
ICAP also grants its own patronage and presents its own awards, which are featured both in competitions organized by the Club and in many other international photographic salons.
The 1st International Art Portrait Cup 2026 was an international photography competition organized by ICAP. In 2026, it attracted 1,024 photographers from 79 countries, who submitted a total of 17,925 photographs. Participation was made free of charge to enable as many photographers as possible from around the world to showcase their work.
One of ICAP’s key and most ambitious projects is the international PhotOlympic, held under the patronage of IAAP, with ICAP acting as an official co-organizer.
Every January, the Club traditionally holds its annual members’ meeting in St Petersburg, Russia, bringing together photographers from different cities and countries.
ICAP strives to create not only a professional community but also genuine friendships among photographers. The Club firmly believes that meaningful communication and lasting personal connections are among the most powerful driving forces behind the development of contemporary photographic art.
